What we pay attention to when installing
These notes apply depending on the location. They are not legal advice.
The notes in detail
Moving images and bright screens facing the street are governed by road traffic rules and often a local by-law. A screen must not dazzle or distract.
The sensor node recognises no one. The analysis runs on the sensor; only summaries per time window reach the platform. The alignment aid used during installation is off by default; when switched on it uploads a still image with private areas blacked out.
Anyone showing prices follows the Price Indication Ordinance, as for any price tag.
For pharmacies, practices and health products the Therapeutic Products Advertising Act applies: no promises of cure, mandatory information where required.
Alcohol advertising is possible within the limits of youth protection rules.
Names of guests, patients, residents or pupils and personal performance figures do not belong on a screen others can see.
Whether third-party ads are allowed depends on the state or the municipality. Ads can be switched off entirely for a location.
schaupunkt is not a substitute for the official alerting system.
The screen shows general information for visitors, not information for flight operations.
A screen never hangs over rescue, safety or escape-route signage.
