Your shop window keeps selling while you serve at the till
A bright screen in your window shows your offers and opening hours, mixed with weather, local events and fuel prices. It fetches its own content, and you steer it from your phone.
Your window is your best space. It rarely works like it.
For an owner-run shop, the window is the one advertising space that faces exactly the right people every single day. Whoever walks past lives, works or shops on your street. Yet the window gets the least attention in daily business: pricing stock, taking deliveries, advising customers, ringing up sales. The display changes with the season, the poster goes up for the sale, and in between the window looks the same for weeks.
Eyes get used to things fast. A poster that has been up for ten days barely registers with your regulars. That is why many shops already have a TV in the window. It usually plays a loop from a USB stick that nobody updates any more, or it stays dark because switching it on in the morning slips through the cracks.
schaupunkt turns that screen into a space that keeps itself alive. Your offers and opening hours rotate with what people outside want to know anyway: whether it will rain, what is on at the weekend, where fuel is cheapest right now. Walking past becomes looking, and a QR code on the glass turns a look into a contact. You post a new offer from the app in about a minute, between two customers.
What it looks like at your place
Passers-by stop at the window
Mid-morning on the high street: your offer of the week appears between the weather and local events. Two people walking by stop, and one points at the screen.
The offer comes from your phone
Just before noon it starts to rain. The owner taps her phone behind the counter, and the window switches to the offer on rain jackets.
After closing, the window keeps working
At dusk the shop is closed, the window still shines brightly. A passer-by scans the QR code and saves tomorrow's opening hours.

Play along
A QR code invites people to five games, played on your screen with their phone. After every round your offers are back on.
A day in the window of a fashion shop
- 7:30 am: The shop is closed, the street fills with commuters. The window shows today's weather and that you open at nine. People rushing to work know whether they need an umbrella.
- 10:45 am: First drops of rain. You tap the rain-jacket offer in the app and it goes straight into rotation. No poster, no tape.
- 1:00 pm: Lunch break in the pedestrian zone. Two teenagers scan the QR code and play a round at the window. Then your new collection comes up, and their mother takes a closer look.
- 5:30 pm: Evening rush. Fuel prices and weekend events rotate, with an ad from the café two doors down in between. Your share of that advertising adds up.
- 8:30 pm: The shop is dark, the window bright. A couple on an evening walk scans the QR code on the offer and pencils in Saturday.
Your window as an ad space for the neighbourhood
Your footfall is valuable to other businesses too. The café across the road promotes its lunch menu, the optician its eye tests, the driving school its next course, the estate agent a flat in the neighbourhood. You approve every ad yourself and can exclude competitors. You decide whether advertising runs, which ads, and at what times of day.
Every location has a fixed ad price, and you share in the revenue. Your share depends on the location, the screen and who provides the player; we lay the terms open and agree them with you in person. Depending on your spot, the screen can pay for itself in part or in full. More under Earn with your window, and how neighbours book you is explained under Book advertising.
Proven, not guessed
Every display is logged with time and screen. You see when your offer ran, and advertisers see when their ad ran. More than 80,000 displays have been recorded this way since 12 September 2026.
If you want to know how busy it is outside your shop, a small sensor inside on the screen counts passers-by and vehicles anonymously, by hour and direction, for an extra €15 a month. It recognises no one and stores no images. Counts and logs together become media data for your location. Use them to put your offers into the busiest hours and to show advertisers what your window is worth. More under Sensors.
