Your lobby answers questions before anyone reaches reception
A bright screen in the lobby, breakfast room or entrance shows your daily programme, the week's weather, lake temperatures and local events. Your own offers run in between, managed from your phone.
Guests ask the same things every day, and reception is short of time
Between seven and ten in the morning, reception is at its busiest. Check-outs, bills, luggage, and in between the questions every guest asks: What will the weather be like? Is the pool open today? When is the wine tasting? What can we do with the kids if it rains? Every answer is given with a smile, and every one takes time that is missing somewhere else.
The usual answer is a folder in the room, a stand next to the lift and a TV in the lobby running a news channel. Hardly anyone reads the folder, the stand is out of date after a week, and the news channel talks about everything except your hotel and the region your guests have come to enjoy.
schaupunkt turns the screen in your lobby, breakfast room or entrance into a quiet concierge. It shows the day's programme in your hotel, the weather for today and the whole week, water temperatures at nearby lakes and the events of the coming days, each with a QR code to take along on the phone. Your offers, from the spa weekend to late check-out, run in between. The system keeps itself up to date, and you decide in the app what fits right now.
What it looks like at your place
Arriving in the lobby
Guests arrive in the afternoon. While one checks in at reception, the family looks at the screen: the week's weather, the lake temperature, tomorrow's programme.
Breakfast with the day's programme
In the breakfast room the screen shows a good-morning greeting, the weather and today's classes. The host adds the late check-out offer from her phone.
At the entrance at dusk
In the evening, people stroll past the hotel. The bright screen in the entrance window shows the spa weekend and the restaurant, and a couple scans the QR code.

A day on the screen of a holiday hotel
- 7:00 am: Breakfast starts. The screen greets everyone with good morning, today's weather and yoga at 7:30. The first guests plan their day over coffee.
- 9:30 am: Departure day for many. You add the late check-out offer from the app. Two guests ask at reception whether it is possible today.
- 12:00 pm: Summer heat. Lake temperatures rotate with an ad for the local bike rental, which you approved and earn a share from.
- 4:00 pm: New guests arrive. While they check in, the family sees the week's weather and the kids' programme. The children scan the QR code and play a round.
- 7:30 pm: The wine tasting starts in the cellar. At the entrance the screen shows the restaurant and the spa weekend, bright and clearly visible to people strolling along the village street.
Your guests are in demand, including with local partners
Hotel guests are in holiday mood and look for something new every day. These are exactly the people the cable car, the lake cruise, the bike rental, the ski school, the museum, the station taxi or the restaurant in the next village want to reach. You approve every ad yourself and can exclude competitors, such as other accommodation. You decide whether advertising runs, which ads, and at what time of day: the cable car at breakfast, say, and the restaurant in the afternoon.
Every location has a fixed ad price, and you share in the revenue. Your share depends on the location, the screen and who provides the player; we lay the terms open and agree them with you in person. More under Earn with your window, and how partners book you under Book advertising.
Every display on record
Every display is logged with time and screen, your own offer as well as a partner's ad. More than 80,000 displays have been recorded this way since 12 September 2026. You know when your spa weekend ran, and so do your partners.
If your entrance faces a busy street, a small sensor inside on the screen can count passers-by and vehicles anonymously, by hour and direction, for an extra €15 a month. It recognises no one and stores no images. Counts and logs become media data that show local partners what a spot in your hotel is worth. More under Sensors.
Frequently asked questions

The screen shows hotel information and local content, your own programme instead of a broadcast channel.
The programme for your existing screen starts at €12 a month, complete with player at €47 a month, footfall counting an extra €15 a month. All prices exclude VAT, per screen. We can supply the screen too.
Yes. Lobby, breakfast room, meeting area and entrance each run their own page plan and are managed in the same app.
Your own pages show exactly the text you enter, so notes in English for international guests work too. We agree the right page plan in our first conversation.
All content is made to work silently. Your lobby and breakfast room stay calm.
Weather and warnings from the German Weather Service and openly available weather services, events and news from regional sources. Every page names its source and when it was updated.
Bright and moving screens facing a road are governed by traffic regulations and often a local by-law. We review the location with you and set the schedule to suit it.
You do. You approve every ad, exclude other accommodation, and can switch third-party advertising off entirely for your location.
A screen, power and internet; Wi-Fi is enough. The player drives screens of any size, updates arrive over the network, and if anything hangs, it restarts itself.
