Weather, water and snow on the wall before anyone sets off
A bright screen at the harbour, boat rental, lido or valley station shows nearby lake temperatures, water levels, snow conditions and official warnings. Your day passes, courses and opening hours run in between, managed from your phone.
At the lake and on the mountain the weather decides, and everyone asks at the till
Anyone standing at the valley station, the boat rental or the lido gate wants to know one thing first: is today a good day for it? How warm is the water, will a storm roll in this afternoon, is there enough snow up top, when does the last gondola go? Those questions end up at the till, right when the queue is longest.
The usual answer is a chalkboard someone fills in each morning and a laminated sheet with the season's prices. By lunchtime the board is out of date because the weather has turned. An official warning from the German Weather Service only reaches the people on the jetty once someone spots it on their phone and passes it on.
schaupunkt turns the screen at your till, jetty or valley station into an information desk that keeps itself current. It shows the water temperatures of the lakes around you, river levels at the nearest gauges, snow conditions at nearby ski areas, today's weather and the week ahead, and official warnings for your district the moment they apply. Every page names its source and when it was last updated. Your day pass, Saturday's swimming course or the time of the last ride up run in between. Your guests decide with the facts in front of them, and your staff are free to sell. You choose what runs from the app.
What it looks like at your place
People stop at the boat rental
The screen sits in the rental window between jetty and till. People strolling past see the water temperature and the two-hour offer and head for the counter instead of walking on.
Every minute counts at the valley station
In the valley station hall the screen shows snow conditions, opening times for the lift and the hut, and the weather at the top. As the afternoon begins, a member of staff picks the page about the last ride up on her phone.
The lido window glows in the evening
The sun is low over the lake, and the kiosk window at the lido stays bright. Evening walkers check tomorrow's temperature and the date of the children's swimming course.

Lake temperatures nearby
The lakes around you drawn as calm outlines, one number each: the measured water temperature and when it was taken. The quickest answer to the question asked most at the jetty.
Snow report for nearby ski areas
Ski areas near you with snow conditions and operating status, each with source and time. In winter it is the page everyone at the valley station stops for.
Official severe-weather warnings
As soon as the German Weather Service issues a warning for your district, it appears large in the rotation with level, validity and time. In summer the forest fire danger is added.
A day on the valley station screen
- 7:45 am: The screen shows the weather at the top and the snow report. The first guests know on the stairs whether the early ride is worth it.
- 10:30 am: The queue at the till grows. The day pass with its QR code runs between pages, and some guests buy it on their phone right away.
- 1:15 pm: The German Weather Service warns of thunderstorms in the district. The warning appears large in the rotation at once, with level and time.
- 3:30 pm: Staff pick the opening-hours page on their phone: last ride up at 4 pm. Nobody needs to ask at the till.
- 6:00 pm: The lift has closed, the window stays bright. Passers-by see tomorrow's weather, Saturday's snowshoe tour and an ad from the hut next door.
Your guests are an audience local businesses will pay to reach
People out at the lake or in the mountains have time, are open to ideas and have usually budgeted for the day. That is exactly who the local sports shop, the ski school, the boatbuilder, the hut along the trail, the harbour café and the region's guesthouses want to reach. On your screen they advertise between weather, water levels and snow reports, right where people are already looking.
You approve every ad yourself and can exclude competitors. You decide whether ads run and which ones. When your screen shows ads from neighbouring businesses, you share in the revenue, and depending on the site the screen pays for itself in part or in full. See how it works under Earn with your window. Businesses that want to be seen at your site will find the way under Book advertising.
Proof of what ran, and a count of who came by
Every display is logged with time and screen, more than 80,000 since 12 September 2026. Advertisers see exactly when their ad ran at your valley station or jetty, and you have billing anyone can follow.
If you like, a small sensor inside next to the screen counts how many people and vehicles pass by, per hour and direction, for an extra €15 a month. It recognises nobody and stores no images; only numbers reach the platform. You see how a holiday differs from a rainy day, and advertisers get media data for your site. More under Sensors.
Frequently asked questions
From the public measuring networks of the authorities. Every page names its source and the time of measurement, so your guests know how current the value is.
It shows the gauge reading in centimetres at that gauge, as reported by the waterways authority. It describes the water level at that measuring point and how it is changing.
As soon as the German Weather Service issues a warning for your district, it appears in the rotation with level, validity and time. Your guests decide with official information in front of them, and your own safety notices on site keep their fixed place.
Yes. In the app you decide which pages run in which season and at what time of day: lake temperatures and boat hire in summer, snow reports and ski courses in winter.
The screen hangs inside behind the glass or in the hall. For bright, sunny windows we recommend a suitable screen and can deliver it with the player. We look at your photo and advise you.
Prices on screen follow the German Price Indication Ordinance, just like any price tag. The offers page is built for it: a clear final price, a short description and a QR code to book.
In many cases, yes. Screens facing a road fall under traffic regulations and often a municipal bylaw, and illuminated advertising follows state-specific hours. We check the site with you and set the schedule accordingly.
The screen programme for your existing screen starts at €12 a month, complete with player from €47 a month. Anonymous footfall counting is an extra €15 a month. All prices exclude VAT.
A screen, power and internet; Wi-Fi is enough. The player updates over the network and restarts itself if anything hangs, so an on-site visit is rarely needed.
Yes. Five games start from a QR code in the phone's browser, with no app and no sign-up. The game plays on the big screen, and your pages return between rounds.
