People waiting for the bus, train or bike know at a glance

A bright screen in your service centre, waiting hall or bike station shows the number being called, weather and official warnings, what's on in the region, and your offers from season tickets to rental bikes.

from €12 a month for the programme on the screen in your waiting hall
5 phone games, no app, for the minutes before departure
530 ms until the screen responds to the phone
80,000+ displays since 12 September 2026, each logged with time and screen

Places where everyone waits for a moment

At the service centre, someone takes a ticket to sign up for a new season pass. In the waiting hall at the bus station there are commuters, students and visitors with suitcases. At the bike station someone collects an e-bike, and at the park-and-ride on the edge of town a driver swaps the car for the bus. The picture is the same everywhere: a few minutes to spare, a glance upwards, and the question of what's going on today.

Your departure board tells people when they'll be on their way. For everything else there is usually a printed notice. Yet you have plenty to say: which counters are open today, that the bike station stays open longer than the service centre, that there's a new pass or a safe-cycling course. On top of that comes everything travellers care about before they head out, from an afternoon thunderstorm to the town festival at the weekend.

schaupunkt adds exactly that part to your passenger information. The screen fetches weather, official warnings, events and regional news on its own, and in the service centre it shows the number being called with an estimated wait. Your fares and offers run in the same rotation, easy to read from a distance. You steer everything from the app, across several locations at once if you like.

What it looks like at your place

In the service centre

A customer has taken a ticket and sees on the screen that a few people are ahead of her. Meanwhile she reads the season-pass offer and scans the QR code for details.

In the bus station waiting hall

Between two buses, commuters check the weather and the afternoon storm warning. A teenager plays a round on the big screen with his phone until his bus arrives.

The bike station in the evening

At dusk, commuters return their bikes. The bright screen in the glass front shows the hours of the station and the car-sharing point, plus the weekend rental-bike offer.

What's on in the region

Events over the next few days with a QR code for more. For visitors arriving by bus and train it's their first orientation in town.

A QR code invites people to five games played with their own phone, no app needed. A round lasts about as long as the wait for the next bus.

When a screen pays off here

Service centre with queue tickets

People see their number and the estimated time, and counter staff are interrupted less often.

Waiting hall or bus station

Between two departures the wait gets something to read, easy to see from a distance.

Bike station and rental bikes

Hours, day rates and courses appear where bikes are picked up and returned.

A change in the weather

The official warning shows with its timestamp where people are about to set off or change.

A new fare or service

Your own slide with a QR code explains what's new at every location at once.

Lots of visitors in town

Anyone arriving with a suitcase first sees what's happening in the region today and at the weekend.

A day at the mobility hub

  • 6:00 am: The bike station opens. The screen shows the temperature and an ice warning, and the first commuters take the bus today instead.
  • 7:30 am: Students and commuters crowd the waiting hall. The monthly pass offer runs between weather and news.
  • 10:00 am: The service centre fills up. The screen shows the number being called and the wait, with the safe-cycling course in between.
  • 2:30 pm: The district's thunderstorm warning applies from 4 pm. It appears on every screen right away, without anyone lifting a finger.
  • 6:30 pm: Visitors arrive by train. The screen shows the weekend's events and the hours of the car-sharing point, which runs around the clock via app.

From the first call to a running screen

A conversation

Tell us about your locations: service centre, waiting halls, bike station, mobility hubs. We tell you which pages work best where.

Photo and location

A photo of the screen or the spot where it should hang is enough. If it faces the road or the stop, we check the location with you.

Quote

You receive a written quote per location: the programme for existing screens from €12 a month, or complete with device from €47 a month, all prices net.

Set up and pair

The small player connects to the screen. On first start it shows a QR code that assigns it to the right location.

It runs, you steer from the app

From now on every screen keeps itself current. You push a new fare or notice to one or all locations from the app.

Ads from next door, income for you

People waiting at a station or stop are customers for the businesses around it: the bakery on the forecourt, the bike shop, the café, the hotel nearby, the driving school. They book airtime on your screens, rotating with weather, events and your offers. You decide whether and which ads run, approve every ad yourself and choose which locations show advertising.

You share in the revenue. Your share depends on the location, the screen and who provides the device. We lay out the terms openly and discuss them with you in person before the first advertiser goes live. More under Earn with your window. Businesses that want to advertise at your locations go to Book advertising.

Every display logged, every location in numbers

Every display is logged with time and screen. You can see when your notice about the new fare ran at which location, and advertisers see the same for their ads. Since 12 September 2026 more than 80,000 displays have been recorded this way.

For an extra €15 a month, a small sensor inside on the screen counts how many people, bicycles, cars and buses pass by, each with direction and time. It recognises nobody and stores no images, and only hourly figures reach the platform. You see the peak hours at every station, and advertisers get media data for each screen. Details on the Sensors page.

Frequently asked questions

It complements it. Your departure board says when people will be on their way, and schaupunkt shows weather, warnings, events, opening hours and your offers alongside.

Yes. The pages are built for large type and high contrast and work without sound, even in a noisy hall.

Yes. Each screen knows its location, so weather and warnings apply to exactly that area. You send your own notices from the app to one or all locations.

Warnings come from the German Weather Service for the district, the weather from openly available weather services. Every page names its source and the time of its data.

Yes, as long as it neither dazzles nor distracts road users. Road traffic law and often a local by-law set the rules. We check the location with you and set up the screen to match.

Yes. Prices on a screen follow the German price indication rules like any other price tag. Your offers show the price exactly as you state it at the counter.

Power and internet are all it needs, and Wi-Fi is enough. You enter the Wi-Fi on first start through a setup page on your phone.

The screen programme for an existing screen costs from €12 a month, or from €47 a month complete with device. Footfall counting adds €15 a month. All prices net.

The player restarts on its own, and updates arrive over the network. As a rule nobody needs to travel to the station.
